Crashing on New,Reply,Reply All Everything.

I am unable to send anything. Incoming working just fine. Immediately crashes as soon as the reply or new window opens. I had a windows update recently. After that forced update i spent hours rebuilding all of my solutions for Visual Studio. Python was no longer installed on my machine as well. I would not be surprised if this was caused by that update. Windows 11 pro Build 22621. I have a 5k line xml error report from one of the 25 crashes if needed. I am able to access my account through our webmail but that is a pain. Thank you for any suggestions.

I’m really sorry you’re experiencing this, and thank you for the details and the crash reports.

First, we suggest you try completely uninstalling and reinstalling the app (make sure to delete everything in your C:\Program Files (x86)\eM Client folder after the uninstall).

Let me know how it goes.

I can do that just have a couple questions. If i need my license key to install again can i find that in the application anywhere i cannot seem to find email. Next will i lose all the accounts i have setup along with all of my emails? If this is the case i need to back this up first. Problem : when i export my settings it says “settings export finished with error.” It does not specify any error. It creates the xml file with settings but only contains one of my email accounts.

As far as we can tell right now (looking at your crash report in our system), there doesn’t seem to be an issue with your database files, so you just need to keep the current database when asked during the uninstall.

(You could, just to be extra careful, close eM Client, and before you get started, create a copy of the database folder: typically C:\Users[your username]\AppData\Roaming\eM Client)

I just wanted to let you know my computer got worse and forced a re-install of my operating system. Everything is working on Emclient now and seems my database is good. Thank you for your support.
