This just started happening. When I try to save the attachment to one of my folders, it crashes emclient. Also if I try to print the email as a pdf to save to my folder it crashes too. Please help. I use that feature a lot and need it to work.
This issue is happening for me now too. Looks like there is no response from eMClient support
When I try to save the attachment to one of my folders, it crashes emclient. Also if I try to print the email as a pdf to save to my folder it crashes too.
If eM Client is crashing when you are saving attachments or printing, that can sometimes be related to eg: optionally installed antivirus programs or optionally installed combo Firewall / Antivirus programs. So if you have anything like that installed other than what comes default with your OS, try completely disabling those to test.
Also sometimes crashing when printing pdf files can be related to the pdf writer installed. So suggest to also try uninstalling and reinstalling your pdf reader / writer and also try setting a different pdf reader / writer as default to test.
Apart from that, I would try uninstalling and reinstalling eM Client. You can download all the latest versions via the release history page.
Note: When you uninstall eM Client if you have Windows, “don’t delete the database” when asked on the uninstall wizard. Then reinstall.
Now if uninstalling and reinstalling eM Client still has the same problem, then you might have a possible eg: corrupted mail account and you might then need to remove and readd your account via “Menu / Accounts”.
If you have an IMAP, Exchange, Office 365 or iCloud (Non POP) account and nothing in Local folders at the bottom left of eM Client, then just remove and readd and all your emails etc will update again when eM Client connects / syncs.
If you have a POP account, first create a folder down in Local Folders at the bottom left called eg: Old Mail. Then drag / move all your current POP mail and any custom message folders down under Old Mail. Then once they are all moved, remove your old POP account. Then readd your same POP account again via “Menu / Accounts” “Add account / Mail / Other” & see if that fixes it.
Alternatively “if you have been making regular eM Client backups” either automatically via “Menu / Settings (Preferences) / General / Backup” or manually via “Menu / Backup”, then you can try restoring a recent dated backup “when you know it was working ok” via “Menu / File / Restore”.
Lastly check that your current eM Client version is up to date via the release history page incase you possible have an older / outdated version.
