Hello, I have a POP3 account where the junk folder is not syncing. It’s empty within eMclient but when I log into my webmail it’s loaded with emails. The server is Cpanel/Apache. I do not have an option for IMAP. How do I get eMclient to detect the junk folder that is on the server and sync it?
Yes, that is because POP3 does not sync with the server. For that you will need to setup the account as either IMAP or Exchange, depending on what your server provides.
You cannot convert a POP3 account to IMAP. What you will need to do is first setup the IMAP account, then move any messages from the POP3 folders to the IMAP folders, then remove the POP3 account from eM Client.
Usually when you setup an account in eM Client using the Automatic Setup, it will use IMAP, but if you want to do it manually, follow the instructions in the Help File (F1) here.
Before making changes to accounts, like deleting them, or moving messages between them, make a backup using Menu > Backup.
