The date on the left, that you say is the wrong date, it the date that your server says the message was received. The dates on the right are the dates the sender’s app says the message was sent.
In eM Client, the message list shows the date and time the server says it received the message. This is not necessarily the same date and time that the sender’s device says it was sent.
We display these differently, and the default view of sorted by received makes it easier to find new messages.
So you have your message list sorted by Received. If you want to display the sent time in the message list, right-click on the column header and choose Columns Configuration. Add the Sent option to the right column. Back in the message list choose Sorted by Sent.
Be aware that this may be confusing as new messages you receive may no longer be at the top of the list. In an extreme example, if the sender’s device has the wrong year, the new message from them will be way down the list and you might not be aware it is there.
