Has anyone experienced any issues when they attempt to use copy/paste from another program into the eM Client text area when creating a new email?
I did a copy/paste from TapForms into the Subject line and it worked fine.
I then tried to paste the same text into the main body and eM Client crashed!
I can replicate the same error every time. I got around the issue by copying the text from the subject line and then it pasted successfully.

Sounds like some eg: non standard html code in TapForms text.
As a test, try copying the text first from TapForms into either eg: Notepad on Windows or TextEdit on Mac “to strip out anything”, and then paste it in the body of eM Client and see if it then works.
If it then still crashes, put an example text of what causes the crash in this thread so we can then test it and maybe then see why it’s happening.
@FredV78 Thank you for reporting this. We are aware of the issue on the Mac and are working to fix it. It only happens when you paste formatted text, or you paste text into a field that supports formatting, so until it can be resolved, use the paste as text option instead.
Yep, mine was a simple 6 digit number I was attempting to paste.
I tried standard text too and this also crashed the program.
I attempted to use the TextEdit get-around to remove the formatting but this too crashed the program.
Hope this helps.
when will this issue be rectified i tried using the paste and text option but that also doesnt work its been 29 days since this was reported to when will it be rectified
The fix is in all 10.1 releases. If your license is valid for version 10, and you haven’t updated yet, use Check for Update from the eM Client menu, or get the latest version from the Release History.
