It would be really helpful if one could copy and paste events in the calendar from one date to another. There may be a way to do it but I haven’t found it.

you should be able to copy and paste events by simply choosing the event you want to copy and using the ctrl+c/ctrl+v shortcut,
or you can hold the ctrl button and simply drag and drop the event you want to copy.
