Conversations split incorrectly due to localized "R:" reply prefix (Italian)

I am experiencing a persistent issue with the Conversation View feature in eM Client. My email threads are incorrectly splitting into two separate conversation groups instead of merging into one.

When communicating with a business partner, my outgoing emails are grouped together under the original subject line. However, when the other party replies, their email client applies the localized Italian reply prefix “R:” (instead of the standard “Re:”).

Instead of recognizing “R:” as a reply prefix and keeping everything in a single conversation thread, eM Client treats it as a brand-new subject line. It splits the correspondence into two separate conversation groups:

  1. One group containing only my sent emails.
  2. Another separate group containing only the incoming replies with the “R:” prefix.

This threading issue does not happen in Outlook, which successfully groups these exact same emails into a single conversation thread.

I have attached screenshots of how the conversation is currently being broken apart in my message list for your reference.

I would suggest then if you have a current active paid Pro, Personal or Business. License go to the official VIP support page and login and lodge a support ticket and “link this thread” who can assist you and investigate it.

Also let them know your eM Client version and if you have Windows or Mac and your OS version.
