There are advantages for conversations on or off, but toggling between them requires too many mouse clicks. It would be very convenient to have a top-level button or other method to toggle between the two states without having to dive into the Settings.
Ooops… just explored the menu some more, and found the View > Conversations which is a partial solution to my request.
