I once used EM Client and liked it very much.
I had to switch to Thunderbird because EM Client would not connect using the IMap settings.
EM Client used port#110, but it needs to be 995 for POP3, with my provider.
EM Client used port 465 for SMTP, but it needs to be 587 with my provider.
For some reason when I try to use IMap EM Client doesn’t work?
Have any of these issues be resolved?
eM Client of course supports those ports. Most providers allow all the ports, but some don’t.
Did you try changing them? If you haven’t tried yet, please do. Make sure you have these corresponding security policies for the ports:
POP3 port 995 = Use SSL/TLS on special port (legacy)
IMAP port 993 = Use SSL/TLS on special port (legacy)
SMTP port 587 = Force usage of SSL/TLS
I have set EM Client back up now.
but…
I am getting a send error?
“EM Client: An Error occured”
“[SMPT] SMPT STARTTLS commend failed”
and the email fails to send?
