Connecting to Apple's iCloud e-mail addresses aren't easy. eM Client mostly fails to connect to iCloud.

Hi, when it fails do you see any error message/s?

Jan

It even fails with GMail

Do you still experiencing this issue even now? do you use any kind of antivirus/firewall software or do you experience bad connection to internet with other software?

Jan

I get the same message at system logon and multiple times throughout the day.

I have my IMAP account configured to use IMPA/S on 993, and SMTP to use submission on 587

My windows firewall I allow C:\Program Files (x86)\eM Client\MailClient.exe out on 80,443,587,993,5223
My network firewall allows clients out on those ports as well

In addition, mail, notes, contacts, calendar all seem to work fine, I just get these annoying messages

Hi,
is your security policy for IMAP on that account set to use SSL/TLS?
Also what version are you using at the moment?

Paul.

Yes,
“Security policy: Use SSL/TLS on special port (legacy)”

Hi,
could you please go to Tools > Settings > Advanced and turn on IMAP logging for the problematic account(s), restart eM Client and when you receive the error again go back to advanced settings and click “Send logs.”
Please add my email to copy [email protected]

Thank you,
Paul.
