Connected eM client to msp account and all old emails are gone.

I am helping a friend to re-connect to their MSP email account. They lost the email account from the MSP when moving and did not keep the account. They then rejoined the MSP and asked for the same email address, and asked me to re-connect eM client. They did not tell me that they were reconnecting to and account that was previously cancelled.  the existing email on the PC from the old database is now not showing. is there a way to restore it?  connection is IMAP

If you disconnect from the Internet, then restore the database, them move the messages to Local Folders before reconnecting to the Internet.

Once that is done and the sync with the server is complete, you can move the Local Folder messages back to the IMAP folder.
