According to this post: and this other one:, there is a bug affecting the Polish localization of the client only.
I use the International Keyboard configuration in Windows with the English localization (this has always worked perfectly with eM Client). Said configuration allows me to type the Spanish ñ and Ñ characters by pressing the right-hand-side Alt key, together with the letter N key (in either regular or shifted mode). This behavior is affected, in my case, in the same manner than the Polish users have reported for their localization. I also get a new message window when I try to type an ñ by using the Right Alt + N keys.
One of your suggestions to remedy the bug instructs us to change the “New Item” shortcut, which involves the keys Ctrl + N in my localization. I did this, and it had zero effect on the buggy behavior. (NB: I also changed the other shortcuts involving the letter N. None of these changes altered the behavior of the client, which seems to be hard-wired. Pressing right-hand Alt + N still opens a new message window.)
This is tremendously inconvenient, since my work requires me to correspond multilingually (English, Spanish, Italian, Catalán, all of which used to be perfectly possible with my setup). Please inform us when the solution for this will be released.
Thanks a lot for your attention to this issue.
