Combining two email accounts

I have two gmail accounts and eMC list them nicely in their own folder trees.
I will be giving up one in the near future but would like to keep all its old emails.
Can I just copy these across in eMC or does it have to be done at gmail level?
I think I have covered the future by forwarding in the gmail account.

Hello Peter,
you can definitely copy all these messages either to your first account or to Local folders in eM CLient (make sure to make a backup if you keep local data, just in case).
Be aware that this might take some time though.
