Column "read status" - meaning of symbol

In the column “Status read” I sometimes see a symbol with two arrows pointing in opposite directions - what does it mean?

If this is what you are referring to, it means you replied to the message and forwarded the message.

When you open the email, it should tell you what occurred prior to the body being displayed.

Thank you for your quick reply - I could have figured that out myself; I was just confused because the “replied” icon is actually the curved arrow.

And just the bane of a good answer - two follow-up questions:

  1. Where can I set these actions to be shown to me in the email - neither in the reading pane nor after opening by double-clicking do I not see them?
  2. Can I find an overview of possible symbols and their meaning somewhere?

As for question #2, I have no earthly idea if there is a “list” of “symbols”. Perhaps others may know, and I am sure they will respond if they do.
