Choose folders for Sent mail?

Postbox refugee here.

I need mail sent from one of my address routed back to my IN Box, and mail sent from several other addresses routed to another folder.

I’m assuming there’s a way to do this, but I can’t figure it out.

Does eM Client have a way to choose where sent mail gets filed?

In Postbox, it’s Settings > Accounts > [account] > Copies & Folders, where you can choose where sent mail goes.

I’ve tried to make a Rule in eM Client for moving my sent mail, but the options seem incredibly limited: When I start with “Apply custom rule on messages I send” and click [Next], the options on that next screen have nothing to do with sent mail. There isn’t even an option there to filter by FROM address.

Does eM Client not have a simple filtering UI, like this?

Rules applied to sent messages won’t work at all if the server creates the copy in the Sent folder itself. That is because there is nothing to move when you click on Send. The server only creates the message later after it’s sent and saves it to the Sent folder.

But you can try. For from address, you want processed with account or from people.

That did it. Thanks. Although, this end up duplicating the message. In a Conversation, how do I tell what mailbox an individual message is in?

eM Client rules are really convoluted compared to any other app I’ve used.

@Gary
I’m trying to create a similar rule for a gmail-hosted account, and I’m running into problems:

Being able to route my sent mail to my Inbox is vital to my workflow. It keeps important topics front-and-center.

Postbox has always handled this perfectly, and much more simply:

Suggestions?

You’re creating a server Rule, not a Local Rule. The server doesn’t have the same options.

But this Rule probably won’t work with Gmail as the server creates the copy of the sent message itself later.
