Chat with sogo webmail

I have been using EM Client in my office (1 person) and absolutely LOVE IT!! I have lost count how many people I have put onto this. However…

My work email is with a company called using Sogo webmail(?) I cannot for the life of me get the chat to work. I was hoping to use it to chat with my kids in the other rooms (Since we are all working/schooling from home due to COVID). My daughter can get her chat to work on her newly installed EMC but not me :confused: - I am wondering if it has something to do with the email provider we use? can anyone help please?

Your email provider has to support XMPP chat. If they don’t, you won’t be able to use the chat function in eM Client.
