Can't upgrade - download interrupted

I updated to the latest version of eM Client (10.0.3266 (7060eea), and it offered me a new upgrade today. But when downloading the file, I got this error, and the file could not be downloaded.
Could someone help me what to do to make the upgrade successful?

An error occurred while downloading files: An exception
occurred during a WebClient request.
The response ended prematurely, with at least 41324616 additional
bytes expected.

Sounds like the download file was delayed or interrupted by some sort of eg: network related reasons outside of eM Client.

Close eM Client and then try downloading the latest V10.0.3447 via the release history page and then reinstall the program.

If you still get problems where the file won’t download and stops, first try shutting down your computer and power off modem. Then power both back on and see if that fixes it

If you still have the same problem, then that might be caused by eg: other resident background programs interferring with the download. So if you have any eg: Optionally installed firewall / security programs, or Optionally installed Antivirus programs or VPN’s, try completely disabling those to test.

You were right, of the options you mentioned, VPN was the issue. I turned it off, ran the update again, and everything went fine. The upgrade is installed.
