When I try send an email I get ‘5.7.8 error - password required.’ I’ve not had this before. I enter password but same message appears. What can I do to send emails?

I have the same issue… i see this problem in many threads - why is there not any solution other than we should send a log or screenshot to you?
SMTP works fine in Thunderbird - but in emClient - it dosen’t. Same settings…
Hope to find a solution asap!

usually it starts working to user later so they do not send anything to me, and to those few who do it I send solution over emails.
this is very often caused by server but that is wrong to put it here because it is never definite.
so there can be many cores of this issue and that is why I ask every single user again and again 
so please follow my firs reply and I will try to help you.

Have you found any solution? I have to use Thunderbird right now, cause i can’t use emclient due to this smtp auth problem…

I am sorry no response from developers so far, but they usually do not respons when they are able to include fix into newer version so can you try updating to this version http://www.emclient.com/dist/v5.0.190… ?
