I’m trying to send email through gmail but get error message ‘client smtp an attempt to connect failed. this could be caused by temporary server unavailability or incorrect settings’. response to hitting ‘fix’ under diagnostics is ‘server not responding’. Look forward to any help.
Hello Simon, unfortunately I’m not quite sure what error you’re referring to, can you please check the Log tab when the error occurs, copy the content of the log and submit it to us here for more information?
What version of eM Client are you currently using on your computer, can you please check the exact release number in Help > About? Are you using any security software on your computer, that may be blocking the connection between the client and the server? If so, can you try to temporarily disable the security software and check if the issue persists?
