Can't restore contact from trash to inbox

This might be a Gmail problem and not a eMClient problem at all, but I thought I’d ask because Google is almost impossible to get to.  A while ago I ‘blacklisted’ someone emailing me using my web-based gmail account.  I now want to restore the person to accepted emailers.  But I can’t find a way, either on the web gmail, or in eMClient, to stop the emails going automatically to Trash. Apologies if this has nothing to do with eM Client but I’d be very grateful for any suggestions about dealing with this issue.  Many thanks in advance.

The process is to right-click on the message in the Junk folder and choose Move to Inbox > Move to Inbox and remove blacklisted email/domain. If the message is no longer in the Junk folder, you can remove the address from the list in Menu > Tools > Rules , then edit the Blacklist Rule , where you can remove the address or domain from the list.

This will stop the message going to the Junk folder. If the message is going to Trash, you might want to see if you have any other Rules in eM Client or filters in GMail that are doing that.

Brian, I misread what you wrote. Sorry.

If you blacklisted the sender using the GMail web interface, I think you will need to clear the address using the same web interface as it is being processed before eM Client receives the message.

Thanks Gary.  I’ve just gone through the procedure as in your 1st reply, for which many thanks!  It now remains to be seen when he emails me next time if that works.  Re the gmail web interface, I’ve gone through that procedure in the past several times but it doesn’t work!!  I’ve no idea why it doesn’t.  It seems to be stuck, unless I’m doing something very wrong.  All best – Brian.    PS  My old friend’s email wasn’t in the junk folder to start with, it was in the trash, so I moved it to junk, and did -->> Inbox from there with the right-click procedure!!
