My email provider is Yahoo.
I’ve composed a somewhat lengthy reply to a somewhat more lengthy email thread. But neither is that long. The only thing I’ve done a little different than most replies is typing inline comments in the quoted email directly below my reply.
When I click Send I get:
Minor (and off topic), but whatever heuristics are being used to determine this are incorrect. IMO this is a “false positive”; there is nothing in the email thread to suggest there should be an attachment. But no biggie, I can just click Yes.
Okayyyyyyy…but all the content of this email has been previously downloaded. It’s just text at this point. My internet connection is fine and is fast.
Huh? Again, this is just a reply to about a 6-7 message email thread. And everything in the editor is just text at this point. IMO this is a bug. And an unhelpful error message, as it gives no useful information re: the cause of the issue and how to fix it.
I need to send this email, so I’ll open Yahoo webmail, paste the eM Client editor comments in, hope Yahoo doesn’t mess up the formatting, and send. But I shouldn’t have to do this with a $250 email client!
Edit: It wouldn’t even let me save it as a draft email:
Even if eM Client comes back and says this isn’t a bug I consider this a design bug: it works as designed it’s just that the design is wrong. If eM Client can make this check for a “completely downloaded message” when trying to send or save a draft, it can certainly do this check before I spend 45 min composing a 100-150 line reply that is impossible to send or save as a draft.
