Can't install update

When I download the update it ask’s to open an app but what app should I open? eMClient does not appear as an app!!!

Hi @keith1186

Have you tried manually installing the update via the release page here: eM Client Release History?

Additionally, here’s how to set eM Client as your default app in Windows 11:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Go to Apps > Default apps.
  3. Search for eM Client in the list of apps.
  4. Select it and set it as the default for email and other related protocols.

If that doesn’t help, I recommend using Ninite to install Revo Uninstaller. Ninite makes the installation process quick and easy by automatically downloading and installing software without any extra toolbars or prompts. Here’s how to use it:

  1. Visit Ninite.
  2. Select Revo Uninstaller from the list of programs.
  3. Download and run the Ninite installer, and it will automatically install Revo for you.

Once installed, Revo Uninstaller will help you fully remove eM Client, including any leftover files or registry entries. Here’s how to use Advanced Mode in Revo to remove all traces of eM Client:

  1. Open Revo Uninstaller and find eM Client in the list of installed programs.
  2. Select eM Client, then click on Uninstall.
  3. Revo will first create a system restore point, just in case.
  4. Choose Advanced Scan when prompted. This mode will scan for and remove leftover files, folders, and registry entries that are normally missed during a standard uninstallation.
  5. Review the results of the scan. Revo will show you a list of leftover files and registry entries. You can choose to delete them all or selectively remove specific items.
  6. Once you’ve removed all leftover files, reinstall eM Client from the official website to start fresh
