Every time I log on to my PC windows 10 I now receive a dialog-box from eM Client informing that it cant connect to Gmail, and Hotmail accounts. Why? Anyone knows why? When I click to explore I can confirm that the infhttps://forum.emclient.com/ os are correct, and do nothing more.
I suspect that, when you first log on, eM client is attempting to synchronize with your email server before your computer has established an internet connection. If I am correct, you only get this error message when you first log on and then everything seems to work properly after you close the error window. Also, if I am correct, then this is annoying but otherwise innocuous. You can probably get rid of the problem by:
- not having eM load at startup, or
- going to Settings > General and unchecking “Synchronize items at startup”
Let me know if this helps.
oh! I see… hmm yes could be you’re correct! Yes, the eM starts up by itself automatically and I’d like to change this. I dont want the eM to start up automatically. Would you know how to do this?.. Thanks a lot for such rapid answer.
Try this:
(Windows Key) + x > Task Manager > Startup Tab. Find and highlight “eM Client” and click “Disable” in the lower right corner.
See if that does it.
Also, and definitely easier:
In eM Client go to Settings > General and uncheck “Run on Windows Startup”
Yes that was the most simple way. Thanks a lot Norman.
