Can't connect eM Client 6 to my Exchange 2010 account on local network.

I just installed eMClient and am testing. I’m getting an error connecting my eMail client to the 2010 Exchange Server on the local network. Not sure why.
An attempt to connect emailadress failed. The error message is: This could be caused by temporary server unavailability or incorrect settings.

how long are you receiving this error (issue)?
What version of eM client are you using?

I installed the software yesterday 03/25/2014.
Version 6.0.19861.0

I also installed it in my home laptop thinking that maybe being outside the network would result in different behavior, but the same happened. eM Client gave me the same error.
