Greetings, I am om eMclient 9.1.2109 on Windows 11. I have two gmail accounts on my client and two imap email accounts. The calendar view shows me my google calendars no problem. I also added a caldav account for one of my imap accounts. The caldav account is hosted at bluehost.com. No problems at all using any of the calendars. I can change the colors of the google calendars no problem. There is one local calendar, which I don’t use, but I can also change its color no problem.
But when I try to change the color of the caldav calendar, the color changes, there refresh spinner on the account flashes for a few seconds, then the color reverts to what it was originally.
Anyone else seen this problem? Is there a workaround? Is there somplace to reports bugs. I’ve only been using eMclient for about 24 hours so I don’t know if there is a more official way to report bugs.
I had this problem with a previous host. The underlying issue is that the caldav server will not sync calendar colors in both direction. It will always override whatever colour you set in emClient when it next syncs. The only way round this is to set the colour at the server end.
If your host gives you a web-calendar interface then you should be able to change the calendar colour on the web-calendar. That should then sync to emClient correctly.
My previous host had not set this up. When (for other reasons) I moved to storing my calendars on a NextCloud instance changing the calendar colours became very easy. I change them on NextCloud and emClient shows the colours properly on the next sync.
