Can't add new iCloud mail account with ordinary or app-spec passwords

eM Client ver 10.4.48567 (a1d5549) suddenly started showing those same old “can’t sync” errors. So i simply removed the account and tried to reinstall. But it refused the old app-specific password, so I generated a new one, and eM Client account setup refused that one, too. And it refused the standard webmail password used for that same account.

What’s going on? This is REALLY annoying. I suppose, as so often, the solution is in plain sight, but I don’t see it. Help to a solution will be much appreciated.

I neglected to say above that the account in question is my iCloud account (aka @me.com). I have four other mail account on the app that show no problems, 2 google and 2 on MS Exchange.

PROBLEM SOLVED. The new app-spec pw took a while to be synced into eM Client. But now it works.
