Can't access SFR server

Hi,

Trying to use EmClient is fine with a Yahoo account but doesn’t work using a SFR account. Connetion fails. Down here part of log :

“Unable to read data from the transport connection: Une tentative de connexion a échoué car le parti connecté n’a pas répondu convenablement au-delà d’une certaine durée ou une connexion établie a échoué car l’hôte de connexion n’a pas répondu…”

Account parameters are those recommanded by SFR : port 995 for pop server, port 463 for smtp server.and SSL\TLS.

I tested with port 110, port 25 and no security but that leads to “authentification failed”.

With Thunderbird and same account I noticed a misfit with Avast Mail Agent when it’s enabled. I disabled it but that didn’t change anything for EmClient.

Did I make something wrong.or EmClient is not compatible with SFR accounts ?

The port and security policy are specific pairs, so having the wrong combination could be the cause.

You can try either of these two settings for POP3:
Port 995 = Use SSL/TLS on special port (legacy)
Port 110 = Use SSL/TLS if available

For SMTP try either of these two:
Port 465 = Use SSL/TLS on special port (legacy)
Port 587 = Force usage of SSL/TLS

Then try again. If it still fails, disable the Avast Mail Shield and try again.

Thanks for your quick answer. I tried both your suggestions, Avast mail shield enabled and disabled. Diagnose gives the same result in every case.

Il says “failed” por SMTP and “no response from server” for POP.

Which ohers tests should I make ?
