As the topic suggests, I cannot rename the subject of an email which starts with [ ].
Every time I change the subject, the first part always remains. How to solve this issue?
I can confirm the bug.
Until we can investigate it, edit the subject and remove one of the [ ]. Hit Enter. Then edit it again if you need to change anything.
Thank you for replying, if I delete one of “]”, this is what happens.
A complete [ ] appears before the deleted one…
Also interesting is the fact that if I changed the subject in outlook, it does not get update in emClient.
It appears you are in a conversation and there are two other messages in that as well.
If you disable conversations (Menu > View > Conversations > Disable Conversations) you will be able to edit it normally.
The subject displayed there is for the whole conversation, but individual messages may have different subjects. So the one you edited in MS Outlook will appear with its edited subject of you disable conversations.
