Cannot add Gmail Contact Label to a contact in emClient

I have a GMail account that syncs to emClient.

In “Contacts”, I can see the Labels I have in Gmail.

If I go to a contact that has a Gmail Label applied, I can see that label.

However, if I go to a contact and hit “Add Tag”, then “Manage Tags” and select the Gmail account, I am not shown any Gmail “Contact” Labels. - I am only shown “Mail” labels.

So I cannot add a Gmail Contact Label to a contact from within emClient.

If I add a label to a contact in Gmail, it syncs to emClient. If I add a new label, it syncs to emClient. I am just not shown the option of adding any Contact Labels to people in emClient.

Same here as I was trying to clean up my contacts. I’m hoping we can get an answer from the mods if this is expected behavior (but I don’t see why it would be).

Workaround I’ve found is to drag the contact into the Tag (folder). I can add a Tag (folder) by R-Clicking “All Contacts” and clicking “New Contact Folder”. That does show up in Google as well. They still need to fix r-clicking a contact to add, but we at least have a workaround.
