Can receive but cannot send emails

I can receive but not send emails. Problem just started on Monday. Message states: SMTP server doesn’t support STARTTLS.

I still have Outlook 2007 which I haven’t used in some time and it seems to works perfectly.

What’s your outgoing SMTP server settings.

Not sure this is it but my SMTP settings are:

Port 587 = Force usage of SSL/TLS
Port 25 = Use SSL/TLS if available
Port 465 = Use SSL/TLS on special port (legacy)

Whats the SMTP server you send mail through eg : Gmail, Hotmail, Exchange , Custom domain. What SMTP mail server do you have in eM Client.

The server is mail.shaw.ca

If you have the settings correct as per the below Shaw.ca support page below then try updating to the latest version of eM Client via the version history page. https://www.emclient.com/release-history

Before upgrading, make a backup of eM Client first via “Menu / Backup”.

If upgrading to the latest version of eM Client doesn’t help, then If you have an eg: IMAP account suggest then to try removing and re-adding your account in eM Client and try again.

As prev backup eM Client first before removing the account.
