Calendar row height/granularity

Before, I could set up events in Calendar to fit in half-hours. Now, they fill a whole hour, and changing granularity in settings makes no difference. This means that events are now not stacked neatly one on top of another; rather, they are set side by side with redundant white space in between.

Can this be fixed, please?

I second this request! I have lots of half-hour meetings back to back. In v7 these displayed perfectly, but with v8 they do not stack neatly on top of each other which makes it very difficult to understand how my day is planned from a quick visual overview.
