I tested all three options:
- Ask before sending invites
- Always send invites
- Never send invites
All three gives me the same behavior: Always send without asking.
It means that your calendar server sends the invitation regardless of what you tell it to do.
Who hosts the calendar where you are saving that event?
To a NextCloud server with the Tasks plugin which I have on my own website.
I am having the same problem, invitations are sent without asking when events are created in em-client, but if I create the event in Google Calendar, I am asked if I want to send the invitation, but it’s never sent. How strange is that?
Update: Problem fixed by doing repair operation from em-client calendar
