Calendar items only saving local on mobile

I think I am running into a limitation of the mobile app, but wanted to confirm.

I have a GMail and non-GMail account setup in eMC desktop. The non-GMail account does not have calendar functionality, so I have it setup to save calendar items to the GMail calendar via the Calendar “Default Folder” option. This works fine on the desktop.

When I accept calendar invites on mobile, it only saves to the local calendar. When I go to the account settings for the non-GMail account, there is not an option for default folders like there is on the desktop client. Is this just a limitation of the mobile client or am I missing something?

Apologies if this has been covered. Quick search was unsuccessful.

Yes could be something not enabled in the mobile app as yet if that only works on the desktop and doesn’t appear for your account.

Normally If you have a non Gmail account or other IMAP account without a calendar, “to be able to add default calendar folders in the mobile app”, you would normally need to have a eg: CalDAV type calendar as in the below Yahoo CalDAV example.

But if you don’t have a manual CalDAV calendar option available to add at your host or don’t want to add an alternative other paid or free CalDAV calendar, then events “will default to the Local Calendar” as you have been doing. I don’t know any other way to that

Ok - just to clarify, what you are suggesting is a workaround and it appears this is, in fact, a limitation of the mobile client?

I can only suggest to setup another free or paid calendar that has default calendar folders.

You can login and lodge a support ticket if you have a current active paid Pro, Personal or Business license to find out if it is a limitation with the mob app or if there is anyway to do what you want without a CalDAV type calendar account via the following official support page.

Apart from that “update what type of non Gmail account you have setup in the mobile app” and suggest to “screenshot what you do on the desktop that you carn’t do on the mobile app” and others on this free community forum who use your same type of account on the mob app might comment if there is anyway to do that. Sry I carnt help any further.
