Hi, I am a new user evaluating the software, don’t shoot me but I got AI to draft the following, much easier than me trying to write it, and I have checked that it is accurate.
Summary of issue: Calendar events received from my Outlook.com account revert their participation status back to “Needs Action” after I accept them. This happens once per event. After I accept the event a second time, the event remains stable and does not revert again.
This behaviour is reproducible and consistent across multiple events.
Environment
- eM Client version: 10.4.5326
- Account type: Outlook.com (Microsoft consumer account)
- Protocol: AirSync (default for Outlook.com in eM Client)
- OS: Windows 11
Reproduction steps
- Send an event invitation from Outlook.com account A (eg the wife) → Outlook.com account B (eg Me) OR Outlook.com account C (eg another entity) to Outlook.com account B (again me)
- Receive the invitation in eM Client for outlook account B (Me).
- Click Accept.
- Event appears correctly in the calendar.
- After a short period (no user action), the event reverts to:
- Dashed border in calendar
- Participation status: Needs Action in event window
- Open the event → manually change participation status to Accepted again.
- Event becomes correct and remains stable permanently.
This pattern occurs for every tested event.
Observed behaviour
- The event reverts only once after the first acceptance.
- After the second acceptance, the event never reverts again.
- This happens regardless of whether I choose Send update or Don’t send update when prompted.
- The organizer field and participant list remain unchanged.
- No further updates are sent from the organizer.
Expected behaviour
Once an event is accepted, the participation status should remain stable unless the organizer sends an update.
So far everything else seems to be working ok, still learning though.
Have I got something set wrong or doing something in the wrong order.
Cheers
Darren
