calendar entries disappear

hi, i’m running version 6 and recently upgraded to windows 10 (not sure if that was linked to the error but it appeared around same time): when i make calendar entries they first show and then disappear after a moment - consistently! when i do the same in my google calendar online they stick and show on eM as well. it’s quite annoying and “illogical” - help? thanks!

Hello Johannes, what version of eM Client are you currently using on your computer, can you please check the exact release number in Help > About? What mail/calendar service are you using with eM Client? Are you using any security software on your computer that may be blocking the connection to the server?

Hi Paul, thanks for the quick reply. I thnk my problem is similar to joe blogs and I’ve tried those remedies as well (GData log). Right now I’m on version 6.0.22344.0 (which it says is newest version). I’m using Gmail/google apps. Avast is my security software, but the problem just appeared without anything changing on that front. As I said, the reverse does work, i.e. entries in the google interface do appear locally. thanks

p.s. i just discovered that the issue seems to be limited to 1 of my 2 accounts. my regular gmail account works, another one i’m running via google apps now has this problem. i hadn’t changed any settings though and both are set up the same way from what i recall

Hello Johannes, can you please try to update your eM Client to this release, 6.0.23181.0 and check if the issue persists? If the problem reoccurs, can you please navigate to Tools > Settings > Advanced and enable GData logging for the problematic account?

Save the settings, replicate the issue and restart the application when the problem reoccurs. After you do so, please go back to the advanced settings window and submit the logging data by using the “Send logs” button to my work mail, [email protected] with a reference link to this forum topic.

Hi Paul - I think I’ve resolved this: For whatever reason the calendar selection, left-hand menu, had always been on a colleague’s calendar which I can only view and not edit. No idea why and it kept that calendar choice also after each restart and version update. It seems to work now after selecting my own default calendar. thanks!

Hi, I am experiencing the same problem, out of the blue. Yesterday it was fine, now calendar entries remain visible for 3 seconds and then dissapearing. I am on version 7.0.27943.0 and I have a logfile created for the account.

I added my personal account just for testing purposes (reading the above threads) but the same issue appears there, when creating calendar entries. When created in the Google Calendar interface, the entries stick. As said, I have a log file created, is there someone who can have a look, please?
