Calendar does not synchronize anymore

Good afternoon,

For unknown reasons my emClient calendar does not synchronize anymore with external calendars, i.e. my GMX account (inbound).

Outbound (emClient > GMX account) is still synchronizing ok.

External calendars are (1) my GMX account and (2) my Android smartphone

Any suggestions?!

Suggest to try repairing your calendar so it forces a resync with your server calendar. Could be it’s got out of sync with your GMX server.

Click the Calendar icon at the bottom left of eM Client. Then “Right click” on the word "Calendar” under your GMX account and “Click Properties” at the bottom.

Next click the “Repair” tab at the top and finally click “Repair”. This will take time as eM Client has to rebuild the local calendar cache etc.

Note: Before repairing your calendar, backup eM Client first via “Menu / Backup” (Pc) or “File / Backup” (Mac). You can see when the backup is complete via Show Operations in the drop-down on the right of Refresh.

I am not sure that I can follow your instructions.

(1) Click the Calendar icon at the bottom left of eM Client. >>> Done!

(2) Then “Right click” on the word "Calendar” under your GMX account and “Click Properties” at the bottom. >>> Does that mean clicking in the GMX browser application? Where do I find “under your GMX account”?

Sorry for being sort of helpless, but …

After fiddling around for some time I got the calendar “repaired”.

However, the no-synch problem continues.

No calendar events from outside calendars (like my GMX calendar) are being synced.

However, the no-synch problem continues.

Could be then being affected by an eg: external program locally installed on your computer possibly interfering. Programs that can sometimes interfere are Firewall / Security programs, Antivirus programs or VPNs. If you have anything like that optionally installed try “completely disabling those” to test.

If that made no difference “or you have no optional programs installed like that”, then next suggest to try “removing and re-adding” your GMX Calendar and see if that fixes it. You can manually add a Caldav calendar in accounts via “Add account / Calendar / Caldav” via “Menu / Accounts” (Pc) or “eM Client / Accounts” (Mac).

If you do remove & re-add your GMX Calendar, Backup eM Client first via “Menu / Backup” (Pc) or “File / Backup” (Mac). You can see when the backup is complete via Show Operations in the drop-down on the right of Refresh.

Failing that might be some problem with your GMX Calendar (Caldav) address in eM Client. Suggest to lastly contact your GMX technical support via phone or website to “dbl-clheck your Caldav calendar address” as could be out slightly or “maybe has changed” since you originally entered it in eM Client.

Thanks for your support. For the time being I shall live with the situation as it is - not having changed anything in emClient nor GMX. Just have to keep checking my calendars more thoroughly … - Bye!
