Caldav not syncing with godaddy Error

I setup EM client on my laptop using the following settings for caldav and its working perfectly
[https://caldav.secureserver.net:8443/… EMAIL"/

However, when i tried doing the same thing on my desktop, I get an error. I have double checked the URL and its identicle yet I get a “cannot connect to server” error.

Hi Joseph, how did you setup the account? Did you use the automatic setup or did you setup the account manually?
If you’ve used the manual setup, did you use the ‘other’ option to enter your details? Could you try to setup the account automatically using just your email address and password in the setup window?

Everything else is working fine. I have been using my email address for several months now on EM client on my desktop just fine. I only recently tried adding the calendar since i just learned the URL.

I fixed it. I just added a new stand alone calendar account using the URL provided, instead of adding the calendar feature to my mail account. For some reason this worked but the other way wouldn’t

Hi Joseph, I’m glad you’ve found a solution for this issue, if your calendar service wasn’t supported previously you might be able to setup the all in one account by creating the account again using the automatic setup feature in eM client, all your available services should be setup automatically.
