I have found a lot about how to make a button in an email that links to a website. But I have not found what I want: a button in an email which I send a few times a week each of them with a different url but with the same button. Is there a simple way to renew a button with a new url in an email message?
It is for paying an invoice send by email but with a ‘pay now’ button in the email which links to a website of a bank to pay digitaly. That url changes with different invoices. I copy now that link into the mailmessage but that looks ugly.
I presume you have already created a email template with the button in it via “Menu / Settings (Preferences) / Mail / Templates and Signatures”.
So then when you open your template to send your email, “right click in the email body” and there is an "edit source* option where you can then modify the button url link or edit anything else you want before you send the email.
Thank you for your response. Yes, I have enough information about creating a button but I was hoping that there was a simpler way to change the url than adjusting the html-code. For instance with an app of with right-click on the button and than ‘add url’ or something like that.
