BT Mail POP3 credentials rejected and SMTP server not responding

I logon to BT using a Username and a Password. From here I go to Mail on which there are 2 email addresses; one for me and one for my wife. (bad design, I know).

Setting up an account on eM Client so that my wife can send/receive emails on her laptop, I’ve chosen Other. On the subsequent pages for POP3 and SMTP I’ve assumed that where they ask for User name and Password, this refers to what I use to logon to BT.

The only place where my wife’s email address is specified is on the Identity page where an Email address is asked for.

Doing this causes the test Configuration to fail for both POP3 and SMTP.

I’ve tried various combinations and they all fail so any help would be appreciated.

Now sorted. Fixed by assigning a separate password to each BT email address.
