It seems with eM Client, particularly the beta 10, that the location of the special folders, particularly the Draft folder, must be on the IMAP server. Is this true? I have an email account that for whatever reason the Drafts folder can not be located on the IMAP server. If it is then any draft messages are not deleted automatically when the final email is sent. If the location of the Draft folder is instead set to a local folder the deletion of previous draft messages are deleted automatically when the final message is sent.
Normally if you setup a eg: IMAP account like a eg: Microsoft, Gmail , Yahoo etc, the draft folder resides on the server end “under your IMAP account” which shows in Special folders as you said. Then the draft messages are automatically removed when you send that email.
I have an email account that for whatever reason the Drafts folder can not be located on the IMAP server.
That is unusual. What mail account and mail server is this ?
This is a local ISP email account that uses megamailservers.com. This issue is not just emClient I have the same issue with Thunderbird if you have Autosave Drafts enabled… If one disables AutoSave drafts the multiple Draft emails in the Draft folder does not happen.
This is an explanation of the issue for Thunderbird:
If for this IMAP account tell Thunderbird to save Drafts in a local folder and have Auto Save enabled in Thunderbird then those Draft emails are automatically deleted.
Ok. According to this old thread post by eM Client support on this subject, it’s not possible to change the draft to local folders. See post reply below from Paul.
Whether this has changed in later versions of eM Client since that post I don’t know.
But if you can someone will update this thread.

it is unfortunately not possible to adjust the default folders to use Local Folders for drafts or any other special folder
It seems Outlook 365 has no issue with autosaving emails for this particular email account and deleting them when the final email is sent.
