Beta 10.2. Not rendering message body

Something new happening with Beta 10.2.1712. The message body isn’t rendering, if I select another message in the message list, the message pane remains shows the last message. Moving to a third message in the message list, and the message body does not change. What I see is a moving series of orange dashes, like a marquee, across the top of the message body window.

Shutting down eM client and restarting solves the problem. Happens maybe 2-3 times a day. I haven’t determined what actions on my part initiate the issue.

[Update] Seems to occur if I do a search. Rolling orange dashes appear and the text int the message body repeats. Words I used in the search bar are highlighted yellow. If I click on another message or on even another account, the message body remains showing the same message body when the problem arose.

We are aware of this issue and it should be fixed from the version 10.2.1736:

Unfortunately, the scrolling orange marquee is still appearinging Beta 10.2.1736. When I do a search then click on X to clear the search, then select another message, the message body doesn’t change, it shows the message I was viewing as the result of the last search and the orange marquee continues to scroll across the top

I’m not personally seeing those orange dotted lines and the message body does change instantly if i select another message after clicking X to clear the search testing that Windows version.

Might possibly be to do with the eg: Theme you are using. Have you tried different Themes ?

If changing the Theme still makes no difference, then suggest to try uninstalling that new Beta and “dont delete the database” when asked on the uninstall wizard and then reinstall it again.

Failing that if you have an eg: IMAP or Exchange type account, try setting the messages to download offline and / or including attachments as could be all your messages are eg: not fully cached locally so causing some rendering / delay viewing them.

Is 10.2.1736 still in beta stage? Is it safe to be used for everyday use?

I’ve been personally using both the Beta v10.2.1712 on Pc and Mac everyday for sometime and that works fine for me with no issues. Also been using the latest Beta in Windows as per this thread post v10.2.1736 and that also works fine for me. So i can recommend the new Beta.

All i advise is with any upgrade Official or Beta if you do try upgrading," make a manual backup first" via “Menu / Backup” incase you need to restore for any reason. Also take a note of the version you have currently via “Menu / Help / About” so if you need to go back you get the right version from the release history page.

You can see when the backup is complete in Show Operations via clicking the dropdown on the right of Refresh Top Left. Lastly close eM Client before updating.

Beta version 10.2.1736 breaks theme editor.

What specifically happens in the Theme editor ?
