I am tired of Google’s crappy support and am ready to migrate away from paid Google Workspace. What is the best e-mail/calendar/contacts service provider comparable to Google’s services that works with eM Client desktop and mobile. Is Fastmail a good choice?
I’m happy with MXroute for emails.
I use both personal packages (for my emails) and reseller (for clients).
Officially, it’s a budget, low support provider.
In practice, it’s been super-reliable and awesome.
Deliverability, spam protection, stability - all excellent (knock on wood).
For contacts, I’ve had some problems with Em Client in particular. Still early to confirm, but MXroute-provided Nextcloud service works fine - so that’s my contacts and calendar.
For separate contacts, calendar and the full Nextcloud service, I’ve heard nothing but praise for Hetzner, but I’m yet to test their Nextcloud (I use their FTP storage boxes and that is awesome):

That is my plan B in case of any problems or discontinuation of the Nextcloud service by MXroute.

Some forum users reccomend Imageway which has emails, calendars, tasks, contacts and notes and syncs tags etc, and is also recommended by eM Client as per the blog below & has an easy automatic setup via the account wizard.
Or if you are thinking of hosting your own “on premises server”, some forum users use Smartermail as per the eM Client blog below.
