Backup stored in different map is restored to standard map

Backup stored in different map is restored to standard map. My backup is stored on a drive D. After a while the map in eMClient is stored to the default map. Is there a way to solve this. I prefer to backup to another drive f.i. D. Best regards René

Hello René,

Have you set your preferred backup location in Menu -> Tools -> Settings -> General -> Backup - Target directory?

Yes, i did, but it 's changed all the time. Why?

Could it be possible that the location is set to a drive that sometimes gets disconnected? If that is the case, then eM Client might reset the location to the default because it can’t detect the one currently there.

No, is is the same drive different partition. Is it possible that an auto update of eMclient will change it to the default map?

Hello René,

The update shouldn’t change the default backup location. Does this happen regularly? If it is possible for you to reproduce this problem then we would ask you for a demonstration, otherwise we unfortunately do not have anything to go on.
