Backup nicht wiederherstellbar

Hallo Zusammen,

nachdem ich ein Backup wieder eingespielt habe, zeigt es mir die Mails dennoch nicht an.

Was mich wundert ist, dass mein Backup nur .dat Dateien enthält. Das Programm erstellt jedoch immer zusätzlich .dat-shm und .dat-wal Dateien.

Das Programm scheint auch nicht auf die .dat Dateien zuzugreifen, da ich diese auch überschreiben kann, während das Programm geöffnet ist. Bei den .dat-shm und .dat-wal Dateien geht das nicht.

Folgendes habe ich schon versucht:

    Ich habe das mehrmals über Datei → “Wiederherstellen” als auch über manuelles rüber kopieren der Dateien

    Ich habe auch schon das Konto versucht zu entfernen und wieder neu hinzugefügt.

    Programm neu installiert

    Datenbankordner-Pfad neu gesetzt

  • List item
    Die mail_data.dat kopiert und in mail_data.dat-shm und mail_data.dat-wal umbenannt. D.H. ich hatte 3 mail_data Dateien mit der gleichen Größe aus dem Backup (118MB) (.dat, .dat-shm, .dat-wal)

To restore your database, use Menu > File > Restore. That will use the backup zip files created previously by eM Client, and return the database to the way it was when the backup was made. But if the accounts are setup as IMAP or Exchange, the primary storage is the server, so immediately it will revert all your messages to what is currently on the server. All settings, preferences and any local data from the backup will be kept though.

The way an sql database works is that the data is saved in the dat files, but when the database is in use, it uses wal files to store the data, which will be written back to the dat files when you close the application. Please don’t change the individual database files as you will break the database.
