Backup my eM Client files

I’m new to eM Client. Currently all my eM files are stored on my C: drive. How do I back them up to and external hard drive?

If you want the manually backup eM Client anytime (apart from the automatic periodic backups that @sunriseal already advised), then go to “Menu / Backup” (Pc) or “File / Backup” (Mac). You can see when the manual backup is complete in “Show Operations” via the drop-down on the right of Refresh at the top left.

Note: Make sure you then regularly backup your Documents / eM Client profile backup folder and copy that to another external or cloud drive incase you need to restore your backup later.

I highly recommend that you implement the auto backup and run it daily.

That comes from my post here, which includes full instructions with screenshots. It is only if you want to use some advanced options. Using the settings in Menu > Settings > Backup is sufficient in most cases.
