Hello to all,

Under Menu/file/backup, I save to an external drive. It creates a file by date/time in compressed (zipped) format.

In the event of a ‘catastrophe’ will this restore to the original format?
How can I check all is in order?

Would another computer running eM client be able to decipher?

I don’t want to ‘practice’, just in case. Am I saving these mails the right way?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hi @Terry_C_Watson

Providing that the second computer is running the same version of eMC you will be able to restore to the date and time of the backup.
You will need to disable the license on computer #1 and then enable on computer #2
