Is there a Mac antivirus that doesn’t interfere with EM?
Any Antivirus program can sometimes interfere with email clients. They just have to be configured to allow the mail client still to work. But even then they can sometimes still cause interference.
So if you are wanting to use AVG, best way to get it to work is to “Disable the Mail Shield” so its still resident in memory, but not interfering with the mail client. That’s worked for other AVG users.
Or alt you can try “exporting the AVG certificate” and then “importing that into eM Client” as per my post example in the following thread. If it doesn’t work when you try that or only works sometimes and you want to keep the mail shield active / running, then you will need to contact AVG Technical Support via their website for assistance.
Lastly i and my friends have been running Mac’s for years and never used an Antivirus program at all. We have “never got an viruses or malware” etc. Only enabled the default Mac OS Firewall.
