Avast Mail Shield certificate

I’m trying to import the Avast Mail Shield certificate into eM Client.

Reference for Thunderbird and The Bat!
http://www.avast.com/faq.php?article=AVKB91

Menu > Tools > Settings > Signing and Encryption > Certificates and Keys

The certificate import was completed successfully.

However, the certificate is not listed in the “My certificates/keys” tab.

I tried to import again and restarting the application.

Any advice?

eM Client 7.1.31849.0 (free)
Avast 17.5.2302 (newest version is 17.9)
Windows 7 SP1 32-bit

This is a different type of certificate used for a different purpose. The server certificates from Avast are for identifying the client application whereas the Signing and Encryption certificates in eM Client are for email encryption.

You can’t import the server certificate into eM Client.

Thanks a lot for the reply.

I am going to disable the Avast Mail Shield component. I will rely on my mail providers to scan my mail and be careful about what attachments I open.
