automatically remove emails from server?

Is there a video that shows how to set eM Client Version 7.2.36908.0 to automatically delete messages from SERVER?

Not necessary for a video as this is just one setting that you need to change.

Go to Menu > Tools > Accounts and click on the POP3 tab for your email account.

Scroll down to Server settings , and untick the Leave a copy of messages on the serve r.

eM Client will then immediately delete the messages from the server after the have been downloaded.

Thanks for the quick response.  I do not see a POP3 in Accounts. Here’s what I see

There are two ways to access your email server; POP3 or IMAP.

POP3 stores the messages on your computer so it has this setting to remove them from the server after downloading.

IMAP stores your messages on the server. All the email client does is give you a cached version of the server folders. It is not possible to remove the messages from the server, except to actually delete them. That means they go to Trash and you will never see them again.

Is it possible to convert the account from IMAP to POP3?  If so, how?

It is not possible to convert from one to the other, but you can use the manual setup, and install a POP3 version. When it has synced for the first time, copy all the messages from the IMAP account folders to the POP3 ones, then remove the IMAP account from eM Client.

To setup the account as POP3, go to Menu > Tools > Accounts and click on the + icon to setup a new accounts. Instead of using the automatic setup, choose Mail > Other.

On the next screen enter your email address, then on the following one you can choose between POP3 and IMAP.
