Automatic print promt while previewing pdf

Hey dear fellow users,

the following thing only happens with attached pdf files sent from a certain sender:

When I hover my mouse over the attached pdf files to preview them, instead of the preview popping up I get directly sent to the print window of my system. So I guess it’s connected to those pdf files from that specific sender and maybe some settings they got activated, which automatically trigger the print window to open.

Anyone else ever had this issue and maybe knows how to deactivate it? It’s kind of annoying that every time you just hover your mouse over the attachement, this happens.

I’m using the latest version of eM Client (10.1.4588) and run it on Windows 10.

Thanks!

Rather than start a new topic, I thought I’d join in here a year later because I have the same issue. I fly Air France 1-2 times a year, and the boarding pass pdf they email will open the printer dialog when I hover over it. I’m willing to contribute the pdf, the whole email, or whatever might help diagnose the issue. If this catches a developer’s attention and you’d like more information, please tell me how to proceed. Thanks!

FWIW, ChatGPT says there’s likely something embedded in the pdf that’s causing the auto print behavior in eM Client. It suggests turning off auto preview, but I’m not willing to do that for something that happens 1-2 times a year.
